Trade setup – 10,000!

Today might be the day which will be etched on NSE as the day when it moved from 4 digit to 5 digits. In all probability 10,000 might be hit today. The maximum we might have to wait is till tomorrow. In the excitement of 10,000 everyone forgot that its expiry week and we are on the verge of a 10,000 expiry. Another positive point for 10,000 journey is the overall open interest at 9900 put overtook the 9800 put. Now 9900 put has maximum open interest at 59.8 lakh contracts vs 58.4 lakh contracts at 9800. The premium at 9900 is still around 20 rupees which is good for today’s breakfast. On the call side 10,000 call has maximum open interest of 65.01 lakh contracts with a premium of 22 rupees.

So, 9920 to 10,020 is the markers within which markets will move. In short, short 10,000 call and 9900 put and eat 40 rupees premium. The NIFTY put call ratio is at 1.48 level vs 1.41 seen yesterday.
