The cyclonic storm Ockhi which developed in Arabian sea near Kanyakumari has moved west north western direction and lies centered near Lakshadweep islands. Because of this Tamil nadu and Kerala got its best day of the monsoon.

  • There was a rising in temperatures seen in Central India. Temperatures are going above normal in these areas.
  • Bhagalpur in Bihar recorded 6 degrees below normal temperature while Raipur in Chattisgarh recorded temperatures 4 degrees above normal. Hyderabad recorded normal temperature.

  • 39 CITIES SAW A DROP IN TEMPERATURE COMPARED TO YESTERDAY OUT OF 66 CITIES WHERE THE TEMPERATURE WAS MEASURED, COMPARED TO 36 CITIES YESTERDAY.
  • Temperatures fell across North India in almost every state. But still it is above normal in UP and Bihar.
  • There was a rapid rise in temperatures seen in Maharashtra, Chattisgarh and Orissa. Temperatures continue to be very high in these areas.
  • Jaisalmer in Rajasthan and Gulmerg in Kashmir recorded 5 degrees below normal temperature while Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh and Aurangabad in Maharashtra recorded 7 degrees above normal. Hyderabad has temperature 3 degrees above normal.
