Eeshwarah sarvabhootaanaam hriddeshe’rjuna tishthati; Bhraamayan sarvabhootaani yantraaroodhaani maayayaa.
The Lord dwells in the hearts of all beings, O Arjuna, causing all beings, by His illusive power, to revolve as if mounted on a machine!
This shloka talks about the power of Almighty on the souls and their past. At the beginning of the shloka, Lord tells Arjuna that He is living in every being, whether it is human or otherwise. Not only that, but he will also be exercising his power in all the living beings and that is based upon the karmas or the actions of the past. A person gets the treatment according to the actions that he has performed. Sitting in everybody, God will be directing the person as per the results of his past actions and the person will be moving just like how a machine or robot moves as per the directions of an individual.
Extending Interpretation to Mankind’s Life!
This shloka is very clear in its message that whether we follow God or not, whether we follow our nature or not, we always get results that are given by God. One needs to understand this clearly. Irrespective of what you do, you get what you deserve. But you also should know that what you deserve depends on what you do. What you do defines your karma and God gives results according to your karmas. So, the message of this shloka is very clear that what you get tomorrow depends on what you do today and whatever you do, you cannot stop what God has planned to give you. You have no other choice but to accept like a machine, what God gives you.
